Is there a fee to use Aproad Housing?+
No — matching and shortlisting is free. You only pay the standard deposit and rent directly to the landlord once you sign, the same as you would going it alone.
How do I know a listing is actually real?+
We confirm the landlord’s identity and the property address before any listing goes up, and we won’t send you a room we haven’t checked ourselves. If anything about a listing looks off once you’re talking to the landlord, tell us and we’ll pause it.
Can I see a room before signing?+
Yes. We arrange a video walkthrough with the landlord or current tenant before you commit, and in-person viewings are possible for rooms with flexible move-in dates.
Do you help with Anmeldung and other paperwork?+
We explain what Anmeldung is, what documents you’ll need, and where your local Bürgeramt is — the registration appointment itself you book and attend yourself, but you won’t be figuring it out alone.
What if I need to move cities after arriving?+
Message us on WhatsApp — we’ll restart the search for your new city. There’s no penalty for switching once you’re already a student in our network.
